British TV host toplines broadcasting conference

MONTREAL — David Frost will be one of the headline speakers at History Makers 2008, a conference for broadcasters and producers interested in history-focused and current-affairs programming. The conference will be held Jan. 17-19 in New York.

The veteran British TV host, producer and author is the only person to have interviewed the past seven U.S. presidents and the past seven British Prime Ministers.

This year’s conference will be hosted by AETN’s The History Channel, and programmers will be on hand from BBC, CBC, History Channel Canada, The History Channel (U.K.) and WGBH. History Makers is organized by Achilles Media, which also runs the Banff World Television Festival.
