Fox Reality orders more ‘Academy’

Shooting is scheduled to begin on Nov. 12

Fox Reality Channel is going back to school.

The network has ordered a second season of “Hey Paula” producer Scott Sternberg’s “The Academy.” The show is slated to premiere in May 2008.

Like the first, the new 11-ep season follows recruits though the 18 weeks of academy training required to be deputized into the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

The first incarnation of the network original aired on MyNetworkTV, as well as Fox Reality. Shooting is skedded to begin on Nov. 12, the first day of training.
