Carol Sewell has been upped to exec VP of publicity and field marketing at 20th Century Fox.

Sewell joined the studio in 1995.

Fox co-prexies of domestic theatrical marketing Pamela Levine and Tony Sella said Sewell was a driving force behind successful and innovative campaigns for titles including “Walk the Line,” “Ice Age: The Meltdown,” “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Borat.”

Prior to arriving at Fox, Sewell was a publicity and field marketing exec at Paramount.

At Fox, Sewell also spearheaded campaigns for “The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition,” “Moulin Rouge,” “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World” and the “X-Men” trilogy.

Sewell steps into the post previously held by Breena Camden, who recently exited the company to pursue new opportunities.
