Darryl Cobbin has been named exec VP of marketing for 20th Century Fox, where he will oversee the studio’s publicity, promotions, media and online/mobile departments, as well as help to develop overall marketing strategies.
Hire is effective Nov. 26. Cobbin will report to Fox co-prexies of marketing Tony Sella and Pamela Levine.
Cobbin most recently served as chief marketing officer for Boost Mobile.
Duo said Cobbin has a track record of using innovative marketing strategies and tactics to drive brand growth across multiple industries, leveraging entertainment, sports, new media and technology.
During his tenure at Boost, the company’s customer base grew from 500,000 to more than 4.5 million subscribers.
Before Boost, Cobbin served in several senior management positions at Coca-Cola, including veep of entertainment marketing.
