Hopkins becomes general manager
Fox Cable Networks has elevated its executive VP of affiliate sales and marketing, Michael Hopkins, to general manager of the division.
Hopkins succeeds Lindsay Gardner, who resigned last month to become director of global-media development for MediaTech Capital Partners, an investment bank.
A 10-year veteran of Fox Cable Networks, Hopkins, 38, will work with his three senior VPs — Michael Biard, Sean Riley and Todd Schoen — to clear networks such as FX, National Geographic Channel and 18 regional sports networks on cable systems throughout the country.
Based in Los Angeles, Hopkins reports to Tony Vinciquerra, president and CEO of the Fox Networks Group.
