FIC bumps up Lopez to prexy-COO

Exec will head business development

Hernan Lopez has been upped to president and chief operating officer of Fox Intl. Channels.

He will report to David Haslingden, prexy-CEO of Fox Intl. Channels and National Geographic Channels in both the U.S. and abroad.

A 10-year Fox vet, Lopez will spearhead business development for all of the foreign-based channels as well as maintain his responsibilities for Latin America and the U.K.

He was formerly prexy of Fox’s Latin American Channels and managing director of FX in the U.K.

Over the past several years, Lopez oversaw the south-of-the-border Canal Fox, FX, Fox Life, Speed, National Geographic, Utilisima, Cinecanal and Movie City; production houses Fox Toma 1 and Fox Telecolombia; and Fox Latin American Channels’ online operation.

Previously, Lopez was ad sales director for Canal Fox, Fox Kids and Fox Sports.
