Commentator to contribute to network news
Fox Business Network has signed former Hewlett-Packard CEO and frequent business commentator Carly Fiorina as a contributor.
Fiorina, the only woman to lead a Fortune 20 company, was chief exec of HP from 2000-05 and engineered the merger with Compaq Computer in 2002.
After she was ousted as CEO, she wrote a memoir, “Tough Choices.”
FBN is scheduled to launch Monday, when it will take aim at NBC Universal’s CNBC.
Both nets are attempting to attach themselves to prominent business leaders. CNBC has former Disney chief Michael Eisner doing a monthly show and former GE topper Jack Welch appearing in promo ads.
