Film details last 24 hours of princess's life
E! has snagged U.S. broadcast rights to “Diana’s Last Day,” the ITV documentary that raised some eyebrows in Blighty when it aired earlier this summer.
Produced by Scarlet TV, “Diana’s Last Day” uses dozens of interviews to recount the final 24 hours of Diana’s life. It also includes pics taken by some of the paparazzi involved in pursuing Diana the day she died.
While some tabloids in the U.K. expressed concern over the footage, “Diana’s Last Day” sparked much less outrage than a Channel 4 doc, “Diana: The Witnesses in the Tunnel.” Latter film showed more graphic material from Diana’s last moments.
E! plans to air “Diana’s Last Day” Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. Cabler acquired the film from Target Entertainment.
