Stefanie Napoli has been upped to exec VP of media at the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group.
Napoli will continue to manage all media planning and buying for Col, Screen Gems and TriStar theatrical releases while also focusing on integrated marketing ventures for the studio’s theatrical entries.Napoli recently orchestrated two partnerships for “Spider-Man 3”: one with NBC’s “Heroes” that directed TV viewers to a scene from the film online at NBC.com, and another with Viacom for the pic’s trailer launch. Earlier ventures included partnerships for NBC’s “Crack the Code” and CBS’ “The Amazing Race” for “The Da Vinci Code” and a collaboration with NBC’s “Medium” for “Memoirs of a Geisha.”
She has worked on hundreds of individual national and local media promotions forged by her team over the past four years.
Napoli joined the conglom in 1999 as VP of media and was named senior VP four years ago.
Previously, she was VP, associate media director at Grey Entertainment, where she managed the media operations for Warner Bros. Pictures. She worked at several ad agencies before that, first working on movie accounts for Orion Pictures.
