Eight years after launching “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” in August, Michael Davies is returning with another late-summer quizzer.
CBS has set 8 p.m. Aug. 7 as the launch date for “Power of 10,” the previously announced Davies gameshow being hosted by Drew Carey (Daily Variety, March 21). The next night, skein will shift to its regularly scheduled timeslot of Wednesdays at 8.
“Power of 10” combines the “survey says” polling questions of “Family Feud” with the big bucks stakes of “Millionaire.” Top prize on the show is $10 million.
Davies is exec producing via his Embassy Row banner, in association with Sony Pictures Television.
