Gelbart, Reynolds to speak at campus
Larry Gelbart and Gene Reynolds, the creative forces behind “MASH,” will share the stage at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television commencement ceremony June 15 at the campus’ Dickson Plaza North.
UCLA alumnus Reynolds, a former child actor who has become a TV writer-producer with “Room 222” and “Lou Grant” among his credits, will receive the Alumni Achievement Award at the 4 p.m. ceremony.
Gelbart, who penned award-winning plays, telepics and features, will deliver the commencement address.
Gelbart’s resume includes HBO pics “Barbarians at the Gate” and “And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself” and features “Oh, God!” and “Tootsie.”
