ABC Studios PR exec Sharon Liggins has been bumped up to executive director of media relations.
Liggins will oversee series publicity and awards campaigns for the studio, including shows such as “Desperate Housewives,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Lost,” “Scrubs,” “Ugly Betty,” “Kyle XY,” “Criminal Minds” and the upcoming “Army Wives.” She works closely with networks including ABC, CBS, ABC Family and Lifetime.
Liggins reports to ABC Studios media relations vice prexy Charissa Gilmore, who made the announcement.
“Sharon has proven an invaluable asset overseeing the studio’s award initiatives,” Gilmore said. “I welcome the fresh perspective she’ll bring to our publicity strategies.”
Liggins has spent six years at ABC Studios, previously as director of publicity.
