The skinny: Reelz launched in September in a healthy 28 million homes and is aiming for 45 million by the end of the year. Net came out of the gate with distribution on DirecTV and EchoStar and has deals with Time Warner and Comcast, so its future is looking bright. As part of its “Dailies” program, net has teamed with Variety, as staffers often give their opinions on the day’s news. Perth says the target demo is an upscale 18-34 and 18-49, all being avid moviegoers, natch.
