The skinny: It’s early but 2007 is shaping up to be a great one for A&E. Net recorded its best February numbers ever — up 52% from last year — becoming a top-five player in primetime in adults 18-49 and 25-54. “The Sopranos” and “CSI: Miami” have helped reached viewers who like drama, and then hang around for the slew of reality skeins that have come to define its original programming. “Coreys” and “Matchmakers” could add some heat to the fire.
