HOLLYWOOD — Ladies who lunch spend long, languorous afternoons at Spago. Members of Women in Film who lunch take an hour or so to meet, feast and then head back to the biz of making movies.
Such was the case at the luncheon hosted by designer label MaxMara and WIF on May 9 at the Sunset Tower Hotel. It all went by so fast.
Event was the cherry on top for Brit thesp Emily Blunt, who was being feted, for well, being feted. Blunt has been tapped as this year’s recipient of WIF’s MaxMara “Face of the Future” Award, which will be presented to her at the 2007 Crystal & Lucy Awards, a dinner fete, June 14.
Industry mavens like the Todd sisters (Jennifer and Suzanne), Carla Hacken, Wendy Finerman and WIF prez Jane Fleming gathered out on the Terrace; agent Chris Andrews looked to be enjoying himself as the sole male at the head table, surrounded by Blunt, Maria Bello and Amy Brenneman.
