Prince makes a royal fuss

Artist serves legal notice to trio of websites

Prince has always been kind of a royal fuss when it comes to his name and likeness. Remember The Artist Formely Known as Prince? Or that unpronouncable glyph?

So it should come as no surprise that the Purple One has served legal notice to a trio of unofficial sites, warning them to remove all images of the singer, his lyrics and any proprietary trademarks.

While those in the singer’s camp insist he’s not going after true fans, the owners of the three threatened websites have banded together to fight the action under the Prince Fans United banner. Its acronym, PFU, makes their meaning clear.
