Ozzy isn’t sick, he just wants to give back.This year’s OzzFest will be free, Sharon Osborne said Tuesday at a press conference in Los Angeles. “For the last few years, ticket prices have steadily climbed as artists demand more and more money for summer tours,” Sharon Osborne said. “We certainly want everybody to make money. However, we also want the kids to be able to afford to come out and have an incredible experience.” The 12th annual hard-rock package tour will launch its 25-date trek July 7 in Southern California. Live Nation is producing. Ozzy made the announcement by walking up to an OzzFest banner hanging on a wall and spray-painted the word “FREE.” OzzFest is slated to visit San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, Kansas City, St Louis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Hartford, Charlotte, Atlanta, West Palm Beach and Nashville. The final confirmed lineup, with a list of cities and dates, is expected to be released within the next two weeks.
