The “American Idol 2007” tour was announced Friday, one that will take the top 10 contestants on a 56-date summer trek across the United States and Canada. Kicking off on July 6 in Sunrise, Fla., the tour will conclude on Sept. 22 in Manchester, N.H.
It will be a reunion of sorts for the Idols, six of whom have already been voted off the show. Although he doesn’t anticipate any problems hitting the road, Phil Stacey needs to get permission from the Navy to participate.
The tour arrives in Southern California on three different occasions: July 19 at the San Diego Sports Arena, July 22 at the Honda Center in Anaheim and July 23 at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
The group will hit the New York metropolitan area on Aug. 24 at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island and Aug. 28 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J.
