Tour kicks off in Toronto on Sept. 7

The hitmaking edition of Genesis — Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford — announced Wednesday North American dates for their first tour in 15 years.

The 13-city “Turn It On Again” tour kicks off at BMO Field in Toronto on Sept. 7, stopping in East Rutherford, N.J. at Giants Stadium on Sept. 27 and Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 12.

Michael Cohl’s CPI will promote the tour. Similar to the Police shows, the top ticket will go for $225.

On April 24, Rhino Records releases “Genesis: 1976-1981,” the first in a series of three box sets that will package all of the band’s albums in CD and DVD formats. The band will also be honored at the “VH1 Rock Honors” ceremony on May 24.
