EMI to release Radiohead box set

Launch coincides with release of next album

EMI will release a complete Radiohead box set that coincides with the release of the deluxe edition of British band’s first album away from the major label.

Six of Radiohead’s Parlophone studio albums (“Pablo Honey,” “The Bends,” “OK Computer,” “Kid A,” “Amnesiac” and “Hail to the Thief”) plus their live album (“I Might Be Wrong”) will be released in a special package on Dec. 10.

A limited edition Radiohead USB Stick, the first to hold a major global artist’s entire back catalogue at CD-quality WAV files and digital artwork on a 4Gb memory stick, will be released on the same day. USB Stick is in the shape of the Radiohead bear and will be exclusively available from www.radioheadstore.com.

A digital bundle of all seven albums, as DRM-free 320kbps mp3 files, accompanied by digital artwork, is being released as well.

Purchasers of the physical box sets will be given access to stream special footage via ‘Digital Insert’ technology.

The sets are being made available for pre-order today.

Radiohead recently released a digital version of its first album away from EMI-Parlophone, “In Rainbows.” Indie label XL Recordings is handling physical distribution of the CD version in all territories except the U.S., where no deal is in place yet.
