Priteca drawings to be used in new development

Nearly 80 years after it was built, Hollywood’s landmark Pantages Theater will finally be completed.

The Nederlander Organization and developer Clarett Group plan to complete the 10 additional floors of office space on top of the two-story Art Deco venue, located just steps east of the famed corner of Hollywood & Vine.

The theater was the last built by Alexander Pantages, but its construction was halted by the stock market crash of 1929. Back then, city planners already had approved the office tower, designed by Alexander Priteca, and his drawings will be used in the new development.
