Lucas’ ‘Spider’ venom

Director criticizes superhero film's storyline

George Lucas, no stranger to barbs that his films have been lightweights, last week dismissed “Spider-Man 3” as a “silly movie.”

“People thought ‘Star Wars’ was silly, too,” he said. “But it wasn’t.”
