It’s always good to give something back to the fans.
So after his directorial debut “Secret” landed 26 million yuan ($3.4 million) to become China’s top B.O. draw last week, Taiwanese pop star-turned helmer Jay Chou threw a thank-you party in Beijing.
“Secret,” based loosely on Chou’s relationship with a high school girlfriend, clearly clicked with China’s youth. The uniforms worn by the pic’s onscreen teens have become extremely hip among teenagers around southeast Asia.
Chou even included them as party gifts at the celebration.
