‘The Color People’ finds its hue

NEW YORK –The road rose 2.1% in Week 24 (Nov. 5-11), bringing the 13-show slate to a grand total of $12,951,326. It’s about $1,800,000 above the Rialto, since the strike struck the Great White Way.

All three Chicago productions — “Jersey Boys,” “Wicked” and “The Phantom of the Opera” — held steady this week. The San Diego production of “Jersey Boys” broke the house record, with $1,371,169.

“The Color Purple” reversed its downward slide and had the highest jump on the charts, gaining more than $130,000.

The highest-grossing show on the chart was “Wicked,” breaking its own house record in Boston with $1,652,974.
