The inaugural production in the Roundabout’s new black box space, “Speech & Debate,” has proven popular enough to prompt a two-week extension.
Show is the first offering of the Roundabout Underground initiative, which aims to produce smaller-scale, riskier fare in the nonprofit org’s new 62-seat venue.
Stephen Karam’s play, about three Oregon teens linked by a local sex scandal, won largely positive reviews when it opened last month. Jason Moore directs.
New closing date for “Speech & Debate” is Dec. 30.
