Chicago hit “The Sparrow” has gotten picked up for a third engagement in Chi, in a joint venture from original producer House Theater of Chicago and the Broadway in Chicago series.
Popular show, about a young woman with mysterious powers haunted by a terrible accident, bowed in January for a seven-week run and then scored a six-week extension. Production also took home seven 2007 Joseph Jefferson awards, the city’s legit kudos.
New, open-ended engagement begins perfs Sept. 26 at the Apollo Theater. Show also will be offered as an off-season special to subscribers to the 2008 Broadway in Chicago season.
