Road Grosses

NEW YORK — Road receipts increased in Week 52 (May 20-27) as the 12-show slate rose 2.97% to $11,838,929.

The increase was due in part to a new production of “Jersey Boys” that split off from the still-running San Francisco show and landed in Los Angeles, picking up the slack for the vacationing “12 Angry Men” and “Chicago.”

Los Angeles’ “Wicked” was the highest-grossing show for the week at $1,572,949, while the Denver run of “Wicked” continued to climb with $1,474,975 — the second-highest gross for the week. The Appleton, Wis., tour of “The Lion King” sold out for the first time.
