MTC elevates artistic duo

Meadow departs for sabbatical

Manhattan Theater Club staffers Paige Evans and Mandy Greenfield have been upped to associate artistic directors of the 37-year-old Gotham nonprofit.

Promotions come just before longtime MTC a.d. Lynne Meadow departs for a season-long sabbatical. Helmer Daniel Sullivan will be acting a.d. in Meadow’s absence.

Evans, whose full title will be associate artistic director/programming, has been director of artistic development at the theater since 2003. Her background, which includes writing and journalism, features a prior stint at MTC from 1990 until 1997.

Greenfield, who will be associate artistic director/production, has been at MTC since 2003, becoming director of artistic operations in 2004. On her resume is producing work with Blue Light Theater Company and Basic Grammar, which she founded.

Duties will remain much the same for the duo, but the new titles reflect the growing roles they have played at MTC in recent years.
