Marsha Mason will topline the Off Broadway production of “A Feminine Ending” at Playwrights Horizons in the fall.
Helmed by Blair Brown, the new play by Sarah Treem follows an ambitious composer called home by her mother, to be portrayed by Mason. Thesp was last on Broadway in the 2005 revival of “Steel Magnolias.”
No other casting for “Ending” has been nailed down.
Brown, a veteran actor (“Copenhagen”) who has ventured into directing lately, recently helmed a workshop of Treem’s play at Portland Center Stage.
“Ending” is slated to begin its run at Playwrights Horizons’ upstairs space in October.
