Hamilton flies to ‘Chicago’

Actor returns to Broadway

George Hamilton is in like Flynn.

He’ll return to his 2001 role as Teflon-slick lawyer Billy Flynn in Broadway’s “Chicago” starting Sept. 10 at the Ambassador Theater.

Hamilton will warm up for the run by playing the character in San Diego on Sept. 4-9, where the road version of “Chicago” will be playing at Civic Theater.

Hamilton will succeed Tom Wopat in the role and will precede R&B recording artist Brian McKnight, who will take over the role from Hamilton starting Oct. 8.
