Actress will star in world preem of 'Lately'

Carol Burnett will star in the world premiere of Charles Grodin’s play “What’s Been Bothering You Lately?” at Garry Marshall’s Falcon Theater in Burbank.

“What’s Been Bothering You Lately?” will open Oct. 26 and run through Nov. 18 as part of the theater’s sixth subscription series. Burnett will play an underqualified life coach specializing in couples’ therapy. Chris Smith directs.

A second world premiere will be staged during the holidays. “A Charlie James Brown Christmas,” written by the Troubadour Theater Company, opens Dec. 7 and plays through Jan. 13. Matt Walker directs.

Season opens Sept. 14 with Arnold Margolin’s “Leap,” which Susan Morgenstern will direct. Play closes Oct. 7.

Granville “Sonny” Van Dusen stars in Peter King Beach’s one-man show “The Memoirs of Abraham Lincoln” from Feb. 8 to March 2. Delbert Mann directs.

Another comedy will run April 4-27.
