‘Dirty,’ ‘Wicked’ lift road business

Road Grosses

Road receipts increased in Week 2 (June 4-10) as the 14-show slate rose 4.75% to $13,172,332.

The increase was due in part to the return of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” in Hartford, Conn., which increased the slate total from 13 to 14 shows.

The Oklahoma City tour of “Wicked” broke a house record with $1,279,414, while the Los Angeles run of “Jersey Boys” had a nine-performance week, which drew $1,253,690, breaking the weekly gross house record at the Ahmanson.

“Wicked,” also in Los Angeles, was the highest grossing show for the week with $1,537,411.
