Christian Slater returns to the West End this fall in “Swimming with Sharks,” Michael Lesslie’s play adapted from the 1994 pic that starred Kevin Spacey.
Slater last appeared on the London stage in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” in 2006. In “Sharks” he’ll play the Spacey role, a slavedriving movie producer.
Story, described as a thriller, centers on a wannabe screenwriter who becomes the producer’s assistant.
Show is produced by Nick Frankfort and Tobias Round for CMP and Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer for Nimax Theaters Limited. The fifteen-week run will play the Vaudeville Theater beginning Oct. 5, with a press night set for Oct. 16.
