Play about three lives colliding in rural Ireland

Carolyn Cantor has been tapped to direct “Pumpgirl,” opening Dec. 4 at Manhattan Theater Club’s New York City Center Stage II.

Story of three lives colliding in rural Ireland, the new play by Irish writer Abbie Spallen was first seen at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at London’s Bush Theater, both in 2006. Cantor most recently directed the Off Broadway world premiere of Neil LaBute’s “In a Dark Dark House” for MCC.
