Bock to premiere ‘Princess’

Event to open 29th Houston Children's festival

Vet musical composer Jerry Bock (“Fiddler on the Roof”) will world premiere “The Princess Who Could Not Be Heard” as the opening event of the 29th Houston Children’s Theater Festival.

Bock created the work for the occasion with fest founder Sidney Berger. The show tells the story of a deaf princess rejected by her family who finds acceptance among circus performers. Directed by Chesley Santoro Krohn, the musical will run June 15-29 at the U. of Houston’s Lyndall Finley Wortham Theater.
