The Smurfs were never this big.
A year after kicking off performance art/comedy/rock concert, “How to be a Megastar Tour 2.0,” the Blue Man Group will add a third leg to the legit troupe’s touring operation called “How to be a Megastar Tour 2.1,” launching Oct. 5 in Houston.
The 44 added perfs take place mostly in the Southeast and the Midwest, bringing the tour to its final night in Lafayette, La., on Dec. 8. The show follows the Blue Men as they order a rock star do-it-yourself manual from an informercial and try out each of its instructions, such as “the one-armed fist pump” and “saying hello to the people in the crappy seats.”
“Megastar” is produced by St. Louis-based Emery Entertainment and Los Angeles-based Pacific Arts Entertainment.
