Actors union reups chiefs

Mark Zimmerman and Paige Price were re-elected prexy and first VP, respectively, of thesp union Actors’ Equity.

Zimmerman and Price were first elected in the fall, when the posts became vacant after former prexy Patrick Quinn was upped to exec director. (Quinn died unexpectedly before he was able to take his new leadership role; AFTRA vet John P. Connolly was tapped to fill the top spot.)

Both Zimmerman and Price ran unopposed for re-election and will serve until spring 2009. In addition, 19 union members were elected to the org’s governing national council.

Also announcing election results was another legit union, the Assn. of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers.

Press agents will be repped by Off Broadway regular David Gersten, as chapter chair of a committee that includes Kevin McAnarney, Lincoln Center Theater’s Barbara Carroll, O+M’s Rick Miramontez and Equity’s Maria A. Somma.

Managers’ chapter will be chaired by Robert Nolan, leading colleagues Mark Schweppe, Susan Elrod, Robert Reilly and Laurel Wilson.
