Michael Lake will develop film, TV projects
World Wrestling Entertainment has tapped film and television producer Michael Lake as president of its films division.
Lake’s chief responsibilities as prexy will be to continue developing WWE-themed film and television projects, most of which serve as vehicles for WWE personalities like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
Throughout his 36-year career, Lake has overseen production for films such as “The Matrix” trilogy and “Ocean’s Eleven.” He most recently served as executive producer for WWE’s “The Condemned,” which was the No. 2 DVD rental in the U.S. in its first week of release.
