Busy helmer working on 'Shanghai,' 'Nights'
HONG KONG — Wong Kar Wai, who has already committed to three pics, has added another to his busy schedule.He will squeeze in a yet-to-be-named drama of lesbian love at a high school in between helming “Ashes of Time — Redux” (set to be delivered in time for the fall festivals), and English-language pics “The Lady From Shanghai” and “My Blueberry Nights.” Latter stars singer Norah Jones in her movie debut and is being readied for a May delivery. New pic is expected to begin shooting in Taiwan in April, according to Jettone, Wong’s company. Wong’s role in the project hasn’t been confirmed but Hong Kong helmer Stanley Kwan (“Everlasting Regret”) will be executive producer while Yanni Wang will be behind the camera.
