LONDON — A trio of U.K. DVD industry veterans have snapped up the assets of homevid outfit Intl. Licensing & Copyright to create a new company.
ILC went into administration — the British equivalent of Chapter 11 — last week. Assets include 350 titles that include TV shows, feature films and docs and fitness videos.
Tony Taglienti will head up the new firm, ILC Entertainment, alongside Steve Tranter and Sally Wood, the widow of Nigel Wood, who founded Intl. Licensing & Copyright.
Taglienti will continue to run his existing label, Stax Entertainment. Wood, who cut her teeth at Woolworths’ homevid operation in the early 1980s, will specialize in marketing and acquisitions for ILC.
