‘Storm Force’ to invade N. America

MTI takes TV, DVD rights

LONDON — London-based sales outfit High Point has sold North American TV and video rights to Belgium-language action movie “Storm Force” to MTI.

High Point has also sold TV and vid rights to the helicopter rescue themed film to America Video Film for Latin America, to Jiant Pictures for Taiwan and to DD Dream for China.

“It’s a widely held philosophy that action films are the birth right of exclusively English language territories,” said High Point’s Carey Fitzgerald, “but ‘Storm Force’ is a strong example of good, solid filmmaking that flies in the face of such received wisdom. We passionately believe — and have proven time and again — that language should be no barrier to any film as long as it delivers what the audience wants.”
