French film 'Gustave Klopp' to be remade
PARIS — Spyglass Entertainment has taken remake rights to Gallic narcolepsy laffer “The Secret Adventures of Gustave Klopp” in a deal with TF1 Intl., the French sales company said Thursday.
Original pic, released in Gaul under the title “Narco,” stars Guillaume Canet as a man who falls asleep at inopportune moments, then dreams that he’s a superhero.
“Narco,” a first film helmed by Tristan Aurouet and Gilles Lellouche and produced by Les Films du Tresor, received upbeat reviews in France and earned a respectable $5.2 million at the box office.
TF1 sold the film to more than 20 territories.
