“Downtown,” a production of Silvio Sardi Communications and Electric Wonderland Entertainment, revolves around a makeshift family of six struggling with homelessness and the challenges of life on the street. It premiered at the 2004 AFI Fest.

Other cast members include Burt Young (“Rocky”), John Savage (“The Deer Hunter”) and Flora Martinez. Irene Cara has recorded a cover of Petula Clark’s “Downtown” for the soundtrack.

Slowhand plans to open the pic in Gotham and L.A.
