Lemhagen-directed film starts July 30
STOCKHOLM — Gustaf Skarsgard will play the lead in Swedish helmer Ella Lemhagen’s “Patrik 1,5.”
Skarsgard, one of Variety’s 10 Euro actors to watch, will play a gay man who, with his partner (Torkel Pettersson), adopts an orphaned Swedish boy. They think the boy is a 1½ years old, but when he arrives, he turns out to be a 15-year-old with criminal tendencies who hates gays.
Production starts July 30 on the 21 million kronor ($3 million) pic, which is produced by FilmLance Intl. with Sonet film attached as local distrib.
Lemhagen scored an international hit with her kid flick “Tsatsiki.”
