Mip Brief

CANNES — Italy’s RAI has concluded several deals for its two high-profile minis, “Caravaggio” and “War and Peace.” Latin America and Scandinavia have signed on for both. Talks are ongoing in the U.S. for the Vittorio Storaro-lensed story of the Renaissance painter, while officials say the Tolstoy adaptation is close to deals in Latin America and both the Far and Middle East.

Rai Trade, the international sales arm of the pubcaster, also said it is in final negotiations with the U.K. for a homevideo deal for 14 telepics in the “Inspector Montalbano” series.
