Production begins deep in ‘Valley’

Pratt, Hines to star in Persistent comedy

Production has launched in Los Angeles on indie comedy “Deep in the Valley,” starring Chris Pratt and Brendan Hines. Persistent Entertainment is producing.

Rachel Specter, Kate Albrecht, Blanca Soto, Denise Richards, Tracy Morgan, Scott Caan and Chris McDonald also star.

Christian Forte directs from his original screenplay. Persistent’s Judd Payne and Matthew Rhodes are producing with Bryan Brucks while Geoff Pence exec produces.

Story centers on two friends trying to make it through the day when a mysterious video booth transports them to an alternate dimension where the world is straight out of an adult film.

Persistent produced “Southland Tales,” which Sony will release Nov. 9, and “Passengers,” directed by Rodrigo Garcia, for Columbia/Mandate.
