CANNES — Olive Films has picked up U.S. distribution rights to Norwegian film “Mirush.”
Pic opened on home turf in March to positive reviews but lukewarm box office. Directed by Marius Holst, it is about a young boy who leaves Kosovo in order to find his father, who owns a restaurant in Oslo. Holst previously directed “Cross My Heart and Hope to Die” and “Dragonflies.” Olive Films is an independent distrib, mainly releasing arthouse pics.
