Notro picks four Berlin films

World brief

Spanish distributor Notro Films has picked up four films that were being touted at Berlin’s European Film Market.

One early buy — HanWay’s “Brideshead Revisited” — was announced at the market.

Since the Berlinale, Notro also has closed on Michael Hoffman’s “The Last Station,” starring Anthony Hopkins as Leo Tolstoy and Meryl Streep as his wife; Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s romantic drama “Odette Toutlemonde,” a recent French B.O. hit; and two chillers, Australian crocodile thriller “Black Water,” sold by the London-based AV Pics.; and Thora Birch starrer “Dark Corners.”

Notro has taken a minority stake in “Station.”
