STOCKHOLM — Movie admissions in Norway fell 13% to 5.1 million in the first six months of 2007, compared with the same period last year, but were up 1.4% on 2005.
Local product raised its market share from 18.4% to 20.6%, according to figures released by Norwegian exhibitors’ association Film & Kino. The org’s managing director Lene Loken says she is confident that summer tentpoles, such as “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” will help close the gap on 2006.
