Wind Dancer partners Matt Williams and David McFadzean have promoted Dete Meserve to prexy of Wind Dancer Films.

Meserve has been with Wind Dancer since the mid-1990s, when she was brought in to oversee administration and operations in its expansion from television into features.

During her tenure, Wind Dancer produced the TV series “Home Improvement” and films “Where the Heart Is” and “What Women Want.”

Meserve most recently served as exec VP, overseeing business affairs and financing.

Now she’ll supervise production, financing and distribution of the film slate, continuing to manage the company’s development fund and work with financiers to put films into production. The fund was established last year to develop comedies in the $15 million-$30 million budget range.

Wind Dancer also recently opened an office in Beverly Hills; it has an office in New York City.
